Over the past year, the world has focused on dealing with a pandemic that has ravished almost every country on the planet. Considering a holistic view of health, in this blog we take a look at fortifying the body's defense mechanisms to best cope with the stressors and toxins that our environment and lifestyles make us susceptible to.
Homeostasis is defined as a state of balanced bodily conditions, physical and chemical, that provide all living things the ability to live at an optimal functioning state. Since we're in the business of saunas, an example of homeostasis is when your body regulates its internal temperature due to outside exposure to either the heat or the cold, inciting the functions of sweating or shivering.
In the below video, Jason Gilbert gives his advice on the holistic health approach to wellbeing and lists a number of methods to help your body reach a state of homeostasis.
Boosting your body's natural immune system to help prevent any virus from latching onto a host cell within the body is a great practice of general health. This can be done by simply adding the correct vitamins and minerals to your daily intake.
Reducing the amount of inflammation that is put into the body is another effective method. By switching out certain foods during the day, you can lower inflammation, allowing your body to allocate the correct resources to defend itself.
